Do I have to have planted raspberries this past winter or is still ok to plant this spring? Also other perennials they do ok around/ anything to keep them from?

In a landscape, if you're not growing in beds, make sure to choose everbearing raspberries. I like when they're planted behind a grouping of lavender and yarrow, both of which have similar leaf structures and blooming cycles and all of which are perennial. DEFO you can plant in spring. NOW is the perfect time. (I will continue writing newsletters in a timely way, so that what I write about can be done NOW.) Most sources say to keep raspberries plantings away from nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes because of disease) and that chives and chervil are good companions plants.
